Review/Giveaway: Blue Lizard Sunscreen – Ends 11/20

by Mackenzie on November 5, 2012

Blue Lizard SunscreenThe weather has turned colder but did you know that you should still be applying daily sunscreen to protect your skin? Sunscreen? In the Fall and Winter? Yes. Sunburns happen any time of the year and are not actually related to heat but the UV rays which can still damage your skin in the Fall or Winter. That is why sunscreen is so important and why I use it on my children before sending them to school and we always use Blue Lizard Sunscreen.

A few years ago I started using Blue Lizard Sunscreen on my family because of a recommendation from a friend’s father who was a redhead like my family. We found that we were always getting burned even when we reapplied the sunscreen as required to protect our skin and when we switched to Blue Lizard we noticed a difference.

Blue Lizard SunscreenBlue Lizard Australian Sunscreen originated in Australia, where standards for sunscreens are the highest in the world. Although their products are now manufactured in the United States, they continue to adhere to the most stringent Australian standards. All of Blue Lizard Sunscreen’s products offer broad photostable UVA/UVB protection, protecting from UV radiation and each sunscreen is SPF 30+ which is the highest the Australian Standards will allow a sunscreen to claim. And because Blue Lizard Sunscreen follows the strict Australian standards their Water Resistant Regular and Sport formulas meet the most stringent Australian Standards which are 240 minutes in whirlpool water, making them over three times as water resistant then the USA Standards.

I personally love Blue Lizard and I recommend it for everyone. Just by visiting their Facebook page you can view the many photos fans have sent in showing how Blue Lizard continued to work even in extreme weather! My favorite thing about Blue Lizard (other than the protection) is that they offer only sunscreen in cream and never in spray-form or tanning products. And because of their cream formula, Blue Lizard Face, I use it as a daily moisturizer.

Definitely protect your skin this winter and check out Blue Lizard on Twitter and online!
