A few days ago while getting the girls ready in the morning I had a brilliant idea…and then I forgot it by the time the school bus was pulling away. Then this morning while I stumbled into the shower, sleep-deprived and in need of serious caffeine I remembered my brilliant idea. While I stood there thinking and planning on this post and becoming so engrossed in the “conversation” in my head, I proceeded to shampoo my hair FOUR times before I realized I had grabbed the wrong bottle. That’s when I knew I need to stop all my thinking (which my husband says I do too much of anyway) and finish my shower.
For anyone who doesn’t know, you will find that I am a deal seeker and money saver but my first love has always been to write more creative pieces. Since I was nine years old I would write stories in vivid detail and had dreams of publishing my first novel. Even though Math has and always will be my favorite subject I found my kindred spirits were my two high school English teachers to whom I would show my latest writings. I never finished a story, however, as I seemed to jump from storyline to storyline as they formed in my head. Guess I still do that with all my “brilliant” ideas.
So I decided that in order to continue my love of writing I would create a sometimes daily post called “The Morning Muse” as a creative outlet beyond the constant deal seeking and coupon printing posts. My plan is to write about something as short as a funny story about the girls (or my overly shampooed hair) to something more detailed such as a particular topic I’m interested in to maybe a fictional story I create one morning while brushing my teeth.
My goal is to be funny, quirky and just myself and hopefully present something interesting to you each morning. Now life may interfere and I may not post each day, but when I do it will always be in the morning as my daily “muse” offering. So I hope you will join me and enjoy the break from the regular posts.
You will find The Morning Muse and any other articles I have written underneath the “Home” in the menu called “My Articles.”
P.S. Although I love to write I do not enjoy grammar, so please excuse any mistakes
