So today I was able to do some long overdue grocery shopping and pick up a few things we needed, like a light for my car, as well. And although my husband wasn’t feeling well today he graciously watched the baby for me so I could go to all the stores I needed without the kids. It was like Heaven! For those that have kids you know how it is….as soon as you get to the store to get the items you need one has a meltdown or the other needs to go potty (even though everyone went before you left!) and try as you might you can not shop fast enough with them crying and screaming. So when the opportunity comes for kid-free shopping it means happy mommies and daddies!
Just to give you a little information on my shopping habits…well there is no shopping. We are trying to work on our debt so literally my only shopping in the last 2 months has been what we needed at the grocery store and even that would be just the fruits, vegetables and essentials like milk, butter, etc. And I will admit that it’s been awhile since I used “major” coupons. Meaning I search the ad, clip my coupons, paperclip and write a list 10 feet long. So today I was ready for a fun adventure!
I needed items at both Market Basket and Shaw’s for groceries and then small items at Target and Walmart. Now I could combine all of these into one to two stores but since I can usually do a circle in my shopping trip to save gas and they are all in that 10 mile circle I just plan which one to start at first. Plus today, I needed to cash in my Gymbucks from Black Friday so I started at the mall first and worked my way back home.
