This book has very special meaning to me as my father, Art, walked the Appalachian Trail with Bill and is mentioned in the book. I was 12 years old and I was there when Bill finished on Baxter State Park in Maine. I remember walking the last of the trail with all the other friends and reporters and cuddling with Orient by the fireplace.
