Last month I shared with you a post on what I was purchasing that week at the stores and with it a project I was working on. This project was brought to me as part of a Pay It Forward event with Gutzy Gear who sent a selection of bloggers $25 PayPal to buy as many school supplies as we could and donate for a child in need, in addition Gutzy Gear sent a set of strap covers and patches for the backpack(s).
I personally love this message and the had a great time shopping for the event. By using my coupon skills I was able to get two backpacks for only $0.98 each and lots of free items for school. In fact I ran out of room in the backpacks and had to use two shopping bags to help carry them all. I donated everything to a church in town that accepts donations for single, low-income families and helps provide baby and kid supplies. It truly is a wonderful thing when you can give back to the community and pay it forward. This event has shown me that no matter how small your budget is you can still help the life of someone. And that’s what life is all about.
