For the last 3 months I have been limping and struggling beyond words with my laptop. At the start of the busy season it just was so much for my little computer to handle that it refused to work properly. So for the last month I have been working in Safe Mode as it was the only way I could use my computer without it continuously rebooting and failing on me.
So in November I invested in a new computer, a Dell Precision, business grade model. However they told me it wouldn’t ship until December 17th…a full month after I ordered it. Then today as my computer started to fail in Safe Mode…I checked my status and it said my new computer had shipped and was being delivered, TODAY!
I won’t go into details but my husband will admit I danced around the kitchen and acted like I had the winning lottery ticket. He just rolled his eyes and walked away while I danced like a fool and saying “Mommy is happy! Mommy is happy!” while hugging my new machine.
So tonight I say goodbye to my old computer and the “bubblegum and paperclips” holding my computer in working order. I will say goodbye to the squinting and dim light that Safe Mode allows in order for my computer to continue to function…barely. And instead I will say HELLO to my new favorite 4-letter word with my new fast computer!
